The MultiBMS Support extension enables advanced-level DC orchestration by integrating multiple independent battery strings into a unified logic layer, effectively removing the hardware requirement for a physical Master BMS. By activating this feature, the controller assumes the role of a central energy storage aggregator, utilising real-time battery string voltages and telemetry to execute a DC string start-up sequence to energise the common DC bus and pre-charge PCS capacitors. This intelligent orchestration staggers the connection of individual strings to the DC bus, effectively suppressing peak inrush and balancing currents and preventing DC link capacitor stress or nuisance tripping. By managing contactor timing and balancing logic during initialisation, the controller ensures a safe, soft-start transition into full operational mode, maintaining system stability across the entire parallel battery bank architecture.

This extension enables the controller to act as the Master BMS of the energy storage system, allowing multiple battery strings to work together without needing a separate piece of hardware to manage them.
